About Us.
As a family-owned and operated Louisiana small business, Industrial Research Corporation (IRC) values every opportunity to serve the community, municipal, and industrial water systems of the Ark-La-Tex communities and beyond.
IRC specializes in providing chemicals, chemical injection equipment, filters, softeners, maintenance, and service for potable water and wastewater systems of municipalities, hotels and casinos, refineries and more. Unlike other chemical providers, IRC’s trained employees don’t just deliver a chemical to a site—they take the chemical to the point of injection, installing the new containers and ensuring proper functionality. Employees are also trained in all plumbing related to its products. Other services of IRC include consultation on water treatment processes. IRC assists engineers and general contractors with development and implementation of water systems as well as with achieving compliance with current regulations. IRC is a member of the Louisiana Rural Water Association, the Arkansas Rural Water Association, and Caddo Parish’s Local Emergency Planning Committee. Company History IRC was founded in 1970 by Jim McCoy, and Mark Wilburn purchased the company in 1992. As President, Mark has steadily grown IRC over three decades, expanding its products, services, and footprint. Mark’s son, Kyle Wilburn, grew up learning the ropes of the water treatment industry during his high school and college years. Kyle became a full-time administrator in 2007 and today serves as Vice President. |
